Old World to Modern Staircase​

We had the exciting opportunity to transform an outdated, old-world staircase into a sleek and modern centerpiece that perfectly complements today’s contemporary design trends. The original staircase featured a curved bottom step and a traditional balustrade with twisted iron spindles—both design elements that felt heavy and out of sync with the homeowners' vision for a cleaner, more modern aesthetic.

The first step in this transformation was reconfiguring the staircase layout. We removed the curved bottom stair, opting instead for a straight-line design that immediately created a more streamlined and sophisticated look. This adjustment not only simplified the flow of the staircase but also made better use of the available space, enhancing the overall visual appeal.

Next, we turned our attention to the balustrade, which played a key role in modernizing the staircase. The old twisted iron spindles were replaced with sleek steel cables, giving the staircase a fresh, contemporary edge.
