Exterior Lanai Addition​

The original space started as a simple grassed backyard, with plenty of potential but little functionality for the homeowners’ needs. We envisioned transforming this unused outdoor area into a versatile and inviting space that would accommodate relaxation, entertainment, and play. The project required careful planning to ensure that each element would come together to create a cohesive and functional extension of the home.

The first step was to extend the back of the house by constructing a stunning covered lanai area, measuring an impressive 40 feet by 16 feet. This new addition provided the perfect outdoor living space while offering protection from the elements. The lanai was designed to serve multiple purposes, with designated areas for a summer kitchen, dining, and entertainment.

The summer kitchen became the focal point of this area, equipped with state of the art appliances, ample counter space, and a layout that made outdoor cooking a breeze. Adjacent to the kitchen, we created a dining area with comfortable seating, perfect for hosting family gatherings and al fresco dinners. To further enhance the space, we included a TV gathering area with cozy furnishings, making it an ideal spot for watching sports, movies, or just relaxing with friends.

Recognizing the need for a dedicated play area, we added an additional section adjacent to the lanai. This area was thoughtfully designed to be screened, ensuring a safe and pest-free environment for children to enjoy. The screened enclosure allowed the play area to blend seamlessly with the rest of the backyard while maintaining clear boundaries between spaces.

The transformation of this once-simple backyard into a multifunctional outdoor retreat exceeded expectations. The combination of the covered lanai, summer kitchen, dining, entertainment zone, and screened play area created a space that caters to all aspects of modern outdoor living. This revitalized backyard is now a vibrant extension of the home, perfect for entertaining, relaxing, and making memories year-round.
